Liberals, CAQ spar over ethnic nationalism

QUEBEC — The hot-button issue of ethnic nationalism has roared to life in the National Assembly.
The opposition Coalition Avenir Québec presented a motion Thursday asking the legislature to state that no political party advocates ethnic nationalism.
The moves comes a day after an interview was published in the West Island edition of the Montreal Gazette in which Finance Minister Carlos Leitão accused the CAQ of preaching ethnic nationalism.
