Weather alert: Strong winds Monday night

Environment Canada has issued a “special weather statement” for  the Châteauguay—La Prairie area, the Laval area, the Longueuil—Varennes area, the Montreal Island area, the lower Laurentians and much of the rest of the province.
It says wind gusts of up to gusting up to 80 km/h will affect these areas beginning Monday night.
“These very strong winds are capable of bringing down tree limbs,” the forecaster says.
