Vaudreuil data centre, which was scheduled to close, has been acquired
Ericsson’s $1.3 billion data centre in Vaudreuil-Dorion, which opened in December 2016 and was scheduled to close this year, has been acquired.
GI Partners, a private investment firm, which owns and operates a network of data centres, said on Tuesday that it has purchased the facility from Ericsson.
Ericsson had planned to close the facility, an announcement made less than a year after it opened, as a cost-cutting measure. The company, which has reported four consecutive quarters of losses
