Updated: NDG badly affected as a string of thunderstorms descends on Montreal
More than 63,000 were without power in Montreal, according to Hydro-Québec, as a string of thunderstorms hit Montreal Tuesday afternoon.
Notre-Dame-de-Grâce was especially affected by the storms, with trees and street signs knocked to the ground around 3:30 p.m.
At the corner of Sherbrooke St. W and Marcil Ave., dozens of trees and branches littered the southern end of NDG Park. Falling trees crushed cars along Marcl Ave.
