Updated: Highway 25 N. slowly re-opens after truck fire

Two northbound lanes of Highway 25 were opened to traffic at Hochelaga St. by 8:30 a.m. after being completely closed for more than three hours Thursday morning after a 53-foot-long tractor trailer caught fire on the thoroughfare’s right-hand lane.
The incident occurred at about 5:20 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
Montreal police had to quickly deploy to direct what would become six-kilometre-long traffic jam that stretched past Highway 132 in Longueuil.
