Twenty-two deadly accidents reported during construction holiday

This year’s construction holiday proved to be one of the deadliest in recent years.
In a report released on Tuesday, the Sûreté du Québec said 22 people died in 22 collisions that took place between July 21 and August 6.
Four of the 22 victims were motorcyclists, SQ said. Factors contributing to this high death rate include speeding, refusal to let another vehicle pass, and drugs and alcohol.
