Roxham Road: A complicated path to safety in Canada for asylum seekers

According to the latest statistics, Quebec has already received three times as many asylum-seekers coming across its borders as it had by this time last year. 
And 2017 was a record year.
The vast majority of the close to 25,000 people who claimed refugee status in Quebec last year walked up Roxham Road from the United States to enter the country through this unofficial border crossing. 
The latest surge has led to squabbling between different levels of government over who is responsib
