Renovation project forcing city hall administration to move next door for three years
Welcome to Montreal’s new-old city hall.
Next year, the city administration will move out of the Hôtel de ville in Old Montreal to allow construction crews to carry out a three-year renovation project, estimated at more than $72 million.
Luckily, the city just happens to own another majestic heritage building right next door, which will serve as a temporary city hall during the refurbishment.
