Recovered stabbing victim sets her gratitude to music

Almost 18 months after she was stabbed in the neck while walking home from the Villa Maria métro station, Smadar Brandes will perform at a concert to raise money for the Montreal General Hospital’s trauma centre.
Brandes has organized the concert to thank the medical staff who saved her life and the occupational therapists who have made it possible for her to continue playing the cello, an instrument she first learned almost 20 years ago.
