Quebec's racism hearings will cost at least $900,000

QUEBEC — Quebec’s public consultation on systemic racism will cost at least $900,000 to taxpayers, La Presse Canadienne has learned.
The hearings, organized jointly by Quebec’s immigration department and human rights commission, is designed to identify racism and propose concrete solutions to eliminate it.
On Friday, the premier’s office confirmed that the regional consultation, as well as a large forum in November, will cost at least $900,000.
