Quebec election: Recount confirms CAQ win in Ungava

QUEBEC — The Coalition Avenir Québec managed to hold on to its narrow election win in Quebec’s largest and northernmost riding, Ungava, dashing Parti Québécois hopes of picking up an 11th riding.
The judicial recount on Monday confirmed the CAQ win on Oct. 1. Denis Lamothe took the riding by 46 votes, up from 44 in the preliminary results, over the PQ’s Jonathan Mattson.
