Quebec bill would ban people from reselling tickets above face value

QUEBEC — Taking aim at Ticketmaster and other platforms offering ticket resales, a provincial bill tabled Tuesday would in many cases make it illegal to resell tickets for more than their original price. Under the bill, tickets could only be sold above their face value with the consent of an event’s organizer. In such cases, the reseller would be required to inform buyers that they are accessing a resale platform and that tickets may be available at a lower price from the original ve
