Québecor steps in to save Imperial Theatre

The Imperial Theatre will live to see another day.
Just two days before the start of the 41st Festival des films du monde (FFM), the troubled event’s president and cofounder Serge Losique pulled another rabbit out of a hat, holding a press conference with Pierre Karl Péladeau of Québecor to announce that the latter’s company has stepped in to take over a majority of the Imperial’s debt.
Québecor is investing approximately $5 million in the Imperial, ta
