Police arrest suspect from 22-year-old attempted murder case

The suspect in an attempted murder that took place 22 years ago has been arrested by Laval police.
Police say that Sylvain Belisle, 50, entered the Ste-Rose home of a man, who was a Quebec correctional officer at the time on the evening of Aug. 11, 1995. The victim awoke from his sleep as he was being stabbed in the abdomen. 
A story from the Montreal Gazette published on Aug. 12, 1995 identified the victim as Laval resident Jacques Lamareux, then 52 and a guard at Bordeaux jail.
