Parents, school board call for new elementary school in downtown Montreal

Each weekday, Sabine Philippides’s nine-year-old son boards a school bus in downtown Montreal and heads to Westmount. 
The trip to École Saint-Léon-de-Westmount is about 20 minutes every morning and afternoon, longer when traffic is worse. It’s not the end of the world, Philippides admits, but it’s time she says her son would rather spend playing.
