One dead after fire in Lachine apartment

One person was found dead after a fire in a Lachine apartment Saturday night.
Firefighters discovered the body just after 10:45 p.m.
Montreal Police said the victim’s body was found near the front door of the apartment on 3rd Ave.
Police said it was not initially possible to identify the victim because the body had been badly burned.
The apartment suffered considerable damage.
Police did not know the cause of the fire and because one person died, the arson squad will conduct the investigat
