Montreal election results: Dollard, Pointe-Claire vote for change

It’s the end of an era in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and the end of a 104-year-old streak in Pointe-Claire with voters in both municipalities opting for change and putting aside the status quo.
In Dollard-des-Ormeaux, incumbent mayor Ed Janiszewski is out after 33 years of mayoral service and outgoing councillor Alex Bottausci is the new mayor. Janiszewski came in second with businessman Raman Chopra and financial systems analyst Isabel Maicus coming in third and fourth, respectively.
