Montreal cops act quickly during fire in Rosemont

A pair of sharp-eyed Montreal police officers are being credited with the speedy evacuation of a Rosemont apartment building that was the scene of a fire Monday night.
The officers noticed the fire burning while on patrol on Bordeaux St. at about 11 p.m. They proceeded to evacuate the building pending the arrival of firefighters at the scene.
The fire appears to have started in a mattress left too close to a space heater. Damage from the blaze was confined to the apartment where it started and t
