Man shot on St-Zotique St. E.

A man is in a hospital in serious condition after being shot while walking on St-Zotique St. E. just east of Papineau Ave. on Monday night.
Montreal police say the victim, a 29-year-old man, was walking on the sidewalk near Chabot St. when an assailant in dark clothing approached him and fired shots at him around 7:45 p.m. The victim was hit in the upper body at least once, the police say. The assailant fled on foot, they say.
