Major water main break closes Pierrefonds Blvd.

A water main break on Pierrefonds Blvd. closed traffic in both directions for part of Friday.
The break occurred between Westpark Blvd. and Sources Blvd. in Pierrefonds-Roxboro. Traffic was detoured around the affected area.
“It’s a major break,” said Isabelle Meunier, a spokesperson for the borough who added city crews were busy trying to assess the extent of the damage.
“We need to excavate and assess (to) find out what the issue is,” Meunier said.
