Liveblog: Canadiens beat Rangers 5-2

Tomas Tatar’s power-play goal, halfway through the third period, put the game out of reach.
Artturi Lehkonen scored twice early in the second period to break things open.
But Jimmy Vesey was the beneficiary of chaos in the Canadiens’ zone to make it 4-1 nine minutes into the second. Five minutes later, Ryan Strome scored on a Rangers power-play.
The game wasn’t four minutes old when Jonathan Drouin fed Shea Weber for a laser that Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev never saw.
