Greenfield Park dépanneur clerk to face charges after bystander slashed

A 56-year-old convenience store clerk is to face a charge of armed assault after his pursuit of a robbery suspect ended with a bystander’s being injured.
Longueuil police answered a 911 call placed at about 9 p.m. concerning a robbery at a dépanneur on Lawrence St. in Greenfield Park.
Arriving at the scene, police discovered the clerk had allegedly chased the suspect in the robbery and in doing so, allegedly injured a passerby who tried to intervene.
