Controversy dogs Thermitus as Quebec's foremost human rights advocate

Tamara Thermitus was a subject of controversy even before she became president of the Quebec Human Rights Commission, with both opposition parties in the National Assembly initially objecting to her appointment. Now that the Commission has undertaken to head the public and not-so-public consultations on systemic racism, which officially began Tuesday, things have not gotten any easier.
