Champlain Bridge Ice Control Structure bike path to close for winter, Dec. 1

The bicycle path on the Champlain Bridge ice-control structure will close for winter on Friday, Dec. 1, at 10 p.m.
The path will reopen in the spring, as soon as the Parc Jean Drapeau cycling network reopens, according to the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc.
The news comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that the federal bridge corporation will spend an estimated $1.67 million this winter to clear a bike path on the Jacques Cartier Bridge that will be closed to cyclists
