Beaconsfield wants drivers to slow down

Beaconsfield is determined to calm traffic on its residential streets and main thoroughfares, so it has launched an awareness campaign which targets drivers with a heavy foot.
Over the last 10 years, more than 1,000 traffic studies have been conducted. The results? Around 60 per cent of drivers go up to 20 kilometres/hour over the speed limit in school zones and around 8 per cent drive more than 20 km/h over the speed limit in school zones.
