Adidas 'deeply sorry' for Montreal manager's French-language comments
After being silent for two days, Adidas has responded to the language controversy that erupted after its Ste-Catherine St. store launch on Wednesday.
Media reported that the manager spoke a few words in French to “accommodate the city of Montreal and the French-language media”. His remarks sparked outrage, making it to the Quebec National Assembly, where Premier Philippe Couillard called them “unacceptable”.
