UPDATED: Extortion likely behind Langley shooting incident

A shooting incident in rural Langley on Thursday morning was likely linked to an extortion attempt, RCMP said.
Mounties were on scene in the 6900-block of 232 Street on Thursday morning after gunshots rang out.
Officers responded to a report of shots being heard at around 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 8, according to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.
No one was injured, Sharoom said.
