UPDATE: Quilpituk Creek wildfire grows to 1,139 hectares

The Quilpituk Creek fire has grown in size since last measurement, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS)
.The blaze, which was first discovered on Aug. 1, is now estimated at 1,139 hectares in size.
In evacuation orders issued earlier on Aug. 5, BCWS expected the fire to grow during the day.UPDATE 1:11 p.m.
