UPDATE: ‘Aggressive’ wildfire grows to 10,340 hectares in Summerland

UPDATE (3 P.M.)
The Bald Range wildfire has grown to 10,340 hectares in size, BC Wildfire Service says.
Additional firefighters, aircraft, and heavy equipment have been deployed to the fast-moving blaze, with Penticton-Summerland MLA Amelia Boultbee urging people to avoid all travel to the South Okanagan.
“This fire continues to pose a significant risk,” Boultbee said. “Please follow the direction of Emergency Management BC — if you are told to evacuate, do it immediately
