Overnight tanking operations halted due to visibility at Quilpituk Creek wildfire

As the Quilpituk Creek wildfire blazes on, an evacuation alert is expected to be upgraded on Thursday, Aug. 6.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Central Okanagan Emergency Management (COED) gave residents along Westside Road advance notice that the current evacuation alert for Shelter Cove, Secret Point and Cinnabar Creek is expected to be upgraded to an evacuation order sometime Thursday morning.
