Newly opened soil-washing facility in Chilliwack will soon steam soil

An environmental services company that just opened a soil-washing facility in Chilliwack will soon be steaming soil that has been impacted by invasive plant species.
Construction is underway on Headlands Environmental’s new soil-steaming system at its Shxwhá:y Village Soil Management Facility, which officially opened at the end of June in Chilliwack.
Like the soil-washing facility, the soil-steaming system is the first of its kind in North America.
