Metro Vancouver expands Lower Mainland park

Kanaka Creek Regional Park is now larger.On Monday, Aug. 10, Metro Vancouver announced that it has added 3.5 hectares of land to the Maple Ridge Park.The expansion is meant to further protect the “ecologically important” creek, and to create opportunities for future trail connections in the park, said the organization, a federation, made up of 21 municipalities, one electoral area, and one treaty First Nation.“For nearly 60 years, Metro Vancouver’s regional parks have pro
