Large, out-of-control wildfire quickly extinguished by Hope Fire Department

Members of the Hope Fire Department prevented a large wildfire from spreading further on Friday.
The out-of-control blaze happened around 3 p.m. on Aug. 21 along Flood-Hope Road, above Exit 170.
“Twelve members responded on three apparatus, and thanks to the quick, co-ordinated work of our crews, the fire was rapidly knocked down and contained to an area of roughly 50-by-50 feet,” Hope Fire Department stated in a social media post later that same day.
