Hope mushroom composting facility gets $7K fine for emissions violations

A mushroom composting facility near Hope has now been fined for more than two years of violating air emissions regulations.
The BC Ministry of Environment and Parks recently announced the fine, which concerns a period from May 1, 2024 to May 4, 2026.
According to the report, Highline Mushrooms West Limited was operating its Ruby Creek location (59600 Lougheed Hwy.) without the proper air emissions controls, despite being warned about the issue two years earlier.
