Fire destroys 36-unit apartment building in Chilliwack

Dozens of people were left without a home after an apartment building went up in flames in downtown Chilliwack on the evening of Aug. 5.The blaze happened around 7:25 p.m. in a four-storey, 36-unit building on Spadina Avenue at Mary Street.
Fire and heavy smoke were coming from the building and hundreds of people were outside on the street watching as flames crept up the sides.
