Council approves new arena and training pool in Abbotsford

City council has approved $650,000 in funding to proceed with the next steps in constructing a new arena at Abbotsford Exhibition Park and a new 50-metre training pool at MSA Arena.
The projects came before council on Tuesday (July 14) for consideration of $325,000 each for “project framing work,” which would include site plans, traffic impact studies, topographical site surveys and geotechnical studies.
The process would also look at various funding options, including long-term debt
