Burst pipe forces 218 Abbotsford inmates to relocate

Matsqui Institution is looking quite a bit emptier than usual after more than 200 inmates had to be temporarily relocated due to a burst water pipe on the weekend.
Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) announced that the incident occurred on Aug. 8 at the Abbotsford penitentiary.
The significant flooding impacted three units within the medium-security institution and forced a total of 218 inmates to be moved out of the facility.
