B.C. Conservatives appoint Lorne Doerkson interim leader as ousted MLAs rejoin party

The B.C. Conservative caucus voted to install Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Lorne Doerkson as interim leader after Kerry-Lynne Findlay resigned Sunday afternoon.
“My focus is on moving forward,” Doerkson said. “Last night, my colleagues nominated me to become leader of the official opposition, the interim leader, which I obviously accepted.”
If Premier David Eby calls a snap election this week, as rumoured, Doerkson would be running to be the next premier.
