Arrest made in Lower Mainland shooting

An arrest has been made in a shooting Tuesday evening, July 21, in Maple Ridge.A 44-year-old male suspect, who is known to police, was taken into custody on Thursday, July 23, without incident.
At around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, numerous RCMP cruisers and unmarked police vehicles, and countless officers, converged on the Centennial Motel and mobile home park on the south side of Lougheed Highway, in the 21600-block, for what witnesses described as shots fired and ultimately a two-hour stand off.
