Anxiety doesn’t always look the way we expect. Many dogs that appear overly excited, distracted, or “too busy” on walks may really be showing signs of stress.One of the most common signs of anxiety on a walk is constant scanning of the environment. Instead of being relaxed with a loose leash, these dogs are continually looking around, responding to every movement or sound. Their attention seems to be everywhere at once, making it difficult for them to relax or respond to cues.
