Agassiz-area man acquitted of murder charge

A Seabird Island man has been acquitted of the second-degree murder in the death of a Seabird Island woman.On April 6, 2024, the Agassiz RCMP were called to the Seabird Island community after a report of a sudden death, finding Vanessa Terry, 33, deceased. A few months later, Frederick Paul Charlie was arrested pending his first court appearance on a second-degree murder charge in Terry’s death.
