Abbotsford pool shuts down for extended maintenance

As the schools begin to open back up for the new year, one of the major Abbotsford swimming pools is preparing to shut down, at least for a little while.
The City of Abbotsford recently announced that Matsqui Recreation Centre will be closing both its pool and weight room for part of September.
While the weight room area will only be closed from Sept. 8 to 11 to install and move equipment, the swimming facilities will undergo a much lengthier closure.
