Abbotsford police crack down on electric scooter use

With the new school season bringing back a higher volume of traffic, the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) has announced plans to get tougher on the use of electric scooters.
These devices, which can often reach speeds of 25 km/hr, have become commonplace in many B.C. cities.
This is partly due to the Electric Kick Scooter Pilot Project, which was launched by the provincial government in 2021.
