Abbotsford athletes impress at Kelowna BC Summer Games

Abbotsford athletes excelled at the Kelowna 2026 BC Summer Games, with several local athletes earning medals.
The event ran from July 23 to 26 in the Okanagan city and saw over 3,000 athletes compete in 19 different sports.
Dasmesh Punjabi School student and Valley Royals athlete Gavinjot Jhaj impressed at the event and was the lone local competitor to earn two gold medals. Jhaj captured first place in both male discus and hammer throw. He tossed the disc 49.36 metres and hurled the hammer 46.16
