Health Canada's Food Directorate completed a detailed safety assessment of a food additive submission seeking approval for the use of potassium pyrophosphate, tetrabasic in unstandardized foods. Potassium pyrophosphate, tetrabasic is already permitted for use as a food additive in various foods as specified in the Lists of Permitted Food Additives.
