Fred Willard, master comic who starred in ‘Waiting for Guffman,’ dead at 86

Willard, who was known for his frequent collaborations with writer-director Christopher Guest including “Best In Show” and “A Mighty Wind,” died Friday evening in Los Angeles of natural causes, his agent said.
