SA's last coal-fired power plant to close next month

Alinta Energy has announced that the closure its coal fired power station and associated mine in Leigh Creek will happen next month - not next year as previously announced. The closure will most likely mean not only the end of the mine, but also the town built to support it. The local Indigenous community is concerned Leigh Creek's demise could affect them and the cultural tourism operation they've built up there.
