Nanny pilot program axed amid low take-up
A national nanny pilot programme aimed at helping parents juggle work and family has been axed in the mid-year budget review, less than two years after it was introduced. The Federal Government had allocated $246 million to the scheme but, with the take-up rate much lower than anticipated, it has stripped $170 million from the scheme over the next two years.
