Landing gear malfunction and return involving Airbus A320, VH-VFN, Sydney Airport, NSW on 1 August 2019

During take-off, the left main landing gear torque damper pin sheared and the landing gear could not be retracted. The crew conducted a return to Sydney. During a runway inspection, the pin was located on the runway. The post-flight inspection revealed that three hydraulic lines were damaged.
