With their children having left home, Dean and Fran Taylor were ready to downsize. They fell for a characterful 1904 workers’ cottage in Sydney's inner west and worked with Michiru Higginbotham to open up its disconnected interiors, creating a lighter, more open home for the next phase of their lives.
